Fast Recap To A Slow Day

What a day, what a boring, boring day! Yesterday the UPS man left a wonderful little note on the door letting me know that he would be back today anytime between 10:30 and 2...you really couldn't narrow it down anymore than that?! So I was stuck all day in the apartment when he FINALLY showed up at 1:30! Now don't be confused, I don't go anywhere during the day it was just the fact that I actually couldn't go anywhere that was killing me. I felt as if the walls were closing in haha. So me and Sam worked out and passed the time. Believe if you guys want to burn the calories buy the Dancing With The Stars Latin Cardio DVD, I know it sounds stupid but you get a good workout from it especially the 15 minute toning section. If you do get it make sure you are by yourself the first time you do it, I don't know about you but I have no rhythm so I was not a merengue, cha-cha, samba, mambo pro haha. I am working on it though.

On a side note SO SO SO SO excited to go home for the weekend!!

At Least It Wasn't The Ice Cream Truck!

As you know yesterday I got to visit with my lovely sister Misi. Well as I left the apartment to go meet her I heard the ice cream truck and "thought" I saw it sitting just at the corner. I didn't want to try to fit my big car between the curb and the truck so I went around the back to leave the complex. When I got ready to turn out I (being the wonderful drive that I am) looked to my left to see if any cars were coming...nope. So I look to my right and the truck I saw was BLAZING! It was completely engulfed in flames! I just sat there with my mouth agape and in shock, I had seen this truck not even two minutes ago. I just sat there finally I had to pull out. So I rush and pick up my sister and come back, I hate to admit it, but I am so nosy, I was dying to know what was going on. Oh let me tell you what was going on! Just as we pulled in the truck EXPLODED! Tires went everything, flames were everywhere, it was absolute craziness. Afterwards we find out that it was parts truck for a vehicle repair company that had been here working on someones car. Sadly the only thing I could think of was "at least it wasn't the ice cream truck." I don't even eat ice cream! I just like the song haha. So obviously I had a pretty eventful day. Now lets just see how today pans out.

Everyone please remember Johnny Cavins in your prayers, he is having some serious surgery as we speak.

Ugh..

..So we went to that church this morning and I don't think we will be going back. It was so big I almost got lost trying to find the sanctuary and there was absolutely no fellowship whatsoever. I was looking forward to church so that I could talk to people about the area and make new friends but there was no one that would talk to us. I was also turned off by the fact that in the pamphlet there was a big box that was "reminding" members that they needed over 27,000 in offering a week. I understand that you need to pay bills and your minister but it was just tacky to me to have it in big bold letters in the pamphlet. I have been praying about this for so long and I really want to find a good church. Please if anyone knows of a good, friendly church in the Louisville area PLEASE let me know. I am praying that I am not being too hasty and judgmental when I go and visit these churches I know that nothing is perfect. I just felt when I was there that it was one of those churches that you go to and can sit through just because you know you are supposed to go to church not a church that you feel excited about.

On a side note I got to see my older sister today. Mimi and Jeff stopped by and I was so excited because I FINALLY got to show someone where I live. Its not much but I am proud of it. They just left on their way back to Indiana. Love you guys.


Also in case anyone that goes to that church somehow stumbles across this post, I am in no way trying to offend anyone. Everyone likes to worship different. May you all continued to be blessed by the Lord throughout your life.

Better Late Than Never

Ok so I tried to hold off doing this post until I had my camera because I was really hoping to post some pictures but thats not going to happen.

July 12th made one year since I married this wonderful man:


We went to the zoo and I had a blast! I felt like such a kid before I knew it five hours had passed by! We took pictures but for some reason none of the commputers in the house will recognize the camera software. I will get those up as soon as possible.

On a side note I strongly suggest everyone reading "My Sisters Keeper" by Jodi Picoult. I read it due to the hype because of the movie and was thoroughly surprised by how good it was. I cried the whole night I read it and after I was done I found myself wondering what the characters were doing haha. If you have a free night do yourself a favor and read this book, it will make you think about organ donation in a whole new light.

Boom Boom Pow

So heres my angle this week. I am tired of logging in and seeing my blog with no pictures. I don't even want to read it! So I was perusing myspace and I found that now they tell how many times each picture has been viewed so I am going to go through each album and post a few pictures a day beginning with the one that has been viewed the most. Hopefully I can keep some of your attention now haha. This weeks album...My photos which is just a bunch of pictures that didn't fit in any other category.



This a purple couch that I just had to take a picture of, if I didn't I was pretty sure that no one would believe me if I tried to tell them about it!

Seriously though I have had alot on my mind. I am thinking very hard about going back to school but I don't want to go until I know exactly what I want because I just do not have the money to waste. My wonderful husband has been talking to me alot about going to school too. I would be lost without him, he believes in me so much. At the risk of sounding stupid I am thinking of going into zoology. I could volunteer at the zoo here if I did do that. I mean I wouldn't get paid but if I went for a paying job it would just be in the gift shop or something like that if I volunteer I can work under a keeper. That would be more experience and more helpful in the long run. If you are reading this and you're thinking "she is just trying to talk to herself into doing this" then you are correct sometimes I can think about stuff better if I see it in writing. sorry you have to sit through it haha

On a personal update we are still looking for a good church here in the area. All of the thats around us just seems so large and I get so intimidated, which I know is the polar opposite feeling you should have about church.

I am not going to bore you with a long post even though I could write for hours. So goodnight and God Bless.

Declaration!!

I have been doing a little thinking and I have decided that I am SO ready to lose weight. I want to get back down to the size I was my senior year in high school. I decided that I am going to drink only water and I am going to make sure that I walk at least 10,000 steps a day. I am declaring this the summer of health...who's with me?

Toxic..

So I am just jamming to Miss Britney and I am trying to keep my promise to blog more. I know it would be a little more interesting if I hadn't been so clumsy and broke my camera. Such a travesty I know, I can't even believe that I expect y'all to read something without pictures :)

Anyway theres alot going on around the ol' homestead today. Around 3:30 PM on monday a man went into a company 25 minutes from my apartment and took a woman hostage. Its 5:41 am tuesday and the police are still in a standoff with him. He was just released from prison and the police are not considering him dangerous due to the fact that he has had a weapon this whole time and he has not used it. Thats not meaning he won't they are just allowing the surrounding businesses to get out of lock down status. Also a few post offices in the area have come in contact with anthrax and the post office where I used to live also found a suspicious white powder. Wow a hostage situation and chemical warfare all in one day...I don't know if I can contain the excitement :)

Honestly I have had nothing going on personally. John works almost everyday so I am either taking him to work or picking him up and in between that I am trying to catch up on my sleep because I have developed insomnia HORRIBLY! Any ideas out there on how to conquer that? All suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

On a seperate note, one of our really close friends Mr. Kyle Carter is really sick. He is in the hopsital right now having problems with his liver and pancreas. Please pray for him, he is need of it.

Well I know I am still getting used to this whole blogging thing but I am trying so hard. Please don't give up on me :)
